Newcastle Roller Derby League returns in May

After two years of cancelled games due to the Covid, Newcastle Roller Derby League is back!

The league will return to competition for its popular home teams in May at the Newcastle Showgrounds Exhibition Centre in Broadmeadow.

“We are absolutely chomping at the bit to get back into it,” league president Zoe Llewellyn, also known as Moxie Monoxide, said.

“We’ve missed our fans terribly and we cannot wait to show them how we’ve progressed in the last two years despite all the setbacks.”

The Fort Smashleys, the Bogey Rollers and the Harbour Hellcats will clash every month from May, culminating in a grand final event in November.

Tickets for the 7 May event at 6 pm are available now from newcastlerollerderby.org.au. Purchasing tickets online is encouraged to reduce contact and ease entry congestion.
