Newcastle Pride Choir is officially returning, with the inclusive community choir set to relaunch in July and welcome singers of all experience levels for fortnightly sessions at Adamstown Uniting Church.

The choir’s return aims to bring people together through the joy of music, creating a welcoming and supportive space where members of the Newcastle community can connect, sing and celebrate diversity.

The free program is open to anyone who enjoys performing, regardless of experience or ability.

Sessions will be held every second Wednesday evening in the Dungeon Room Performing Space, offering participants the chance to be part of a fun and inclusive musical community.

The choir is designed as a place where friendships can be formed and everyone is encouraged to join in.

The Newcastle Pride Choir is supported by Adamstown Uniting Church, which is providing a home for the group’s rehearsals.

The venue offers an accessible space for the choir to gather, with the Dungeon Room entrance located via Glebe Road.

Leading the choir are Pearl Nunn, Elissa Shand and Newcastle Pride committee member Sam Barish, who are volunteering their time and expertise to help guide the group into its next chapter.

The Newcastle Pride Choir relaunches on Wednesday 29 July and will meet fortnightly from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Dungeon Room Performing Space, Adamstown Uniting Church. The choir is free to join. You can find out more via facebook.com.
