As you know, we love to support and promote local here at Newcastle Live.
The Makers x Traders of Newcastle are another group who are all about shopping local, exploring and enjoying the city centre.
And they’ve just released a Newcastle Treasure Map to make your next adventure that bit easier.
Looking at their website the group has said this is – “your insider’s guide to the creative, independent business community and best places to visit in this City!”
The map, which features beautiful illustrations from local artist Rosie Turner, is broken into three areas – East, Central and West.

It highlights dining, drinking, shopping, arts and creative industries. Each section is accompanied by an easy to follow street map which notes attractions, facilities and the best light rail stops for the particular precincts.
If you are in the mood to uncover some Novocastrian treasures, you can pick up a free copy of the Makers x Traders Newcastle Treasure Map from the Newcastle Visitor Information Centre (former Civic Railway Station – 430 Hunter Street, Newcastle) or at any of the Maker x Trader businesses listed on the following website.
