Newcastle gears up for the 10th anniversary of Variety Spin 4 Kids, aiming to raise $100,000 for children in need.
The milestone fundraising event will return to Newcastle Harbour Square in March, inviting local businesses, community groups, and fitness enthusiasts to take part in five hours of high-energy cycling.
Teams of up to 10 participants will spin on stationary bikes, raising vital funds for children who are sick, disadvantaged, or living with a disability.
Over the past decade, Spin 4 Kids Newcastle has raised more than $500,000, helping fund grants, scholarships, programs, and experiences for children facing significant barriers.
The event has grown steadily thanks to the unwavering support of the Newcastle community, with workplaces and individuals rallying together year after year to make a difference.
Participants can expect a fun and inclusive atmosphere, where teamwork and motivation drive both fundraising and fitness challenges. The event is designed to foster connection, with teams cheering each other on while contributing to a cause that directly impacts local children.
Major sponsors, including Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group, NuSport The Forum, Acrobat Removals, and long-time MC Mike Wilkins, have helped make the event a success for the past decade, ensuring the 10th anniversary is set to be the biggest and best yet.
Variety Spin 4 Kids Newcastle demonstrates the heart of the Hunter region, bringing together communities for a shared goal of giving children the tools, therapy, and opportunities they need to thrive. Organisers are encouraging teams to register early and start fundraising to help reach this yearโs ambitious $100,000 target.
The 10th anniversary Variety Spin 4 Kids Newcastle takes place on Friday, 27 March at Newcastle Harbour Square. Teams can register and find full event and fundraising details at varietynswact.org.au.
