Electrifying 80s, starring powerhouse vocalists Paulini and Tim Campbell, is set to blast Newcastle with a full-voltage hit of nostalgia when the national tour stops in the city this May.
Packed with iconic anthems, big vocals and even bigger 80s attitude, the show promises a high-energy rewind to the decade that defined pop culture.
From Madonna and Whitney to Lionel and Bon Jovi, the duo will belt through the hits that ruled MTV and filled mixtapes, backed by a live band built to shake the room.
It’s the first time the two artists have toured together, making this pairing a major drawcard. The show builds on years of success for both performers, with their vocal power and stage charisma combining for what’s set to be a standout live experience.
The concert promises more than just a playlist of throwbacks; it’s pitched as a full-blown 80s immersion. Whether you once rocked a mullet, mastered the Rubik’s Cube or just love a soaring keytar solo, the production aims to recreate the era in all its loud, bright and unapologetically bold glory.
Families are welcome, with specific ticketing options available for very young children, and audiences should be prepared for haze effects as part of the staging. Running time is expected to be around two hours and twenty minutes, including an interval.
Electrifying 80s hits Newcastle on Friday, 1 May 2026 at 7:30pm, presented by Encore Concerts. All attendees aged 24 months and over require a ticket. For bookings and full event details head to civictheatrenewcastle.com.au.
