Newcastle favorites, FACEplant are back

Newcastle band, FACEplant burst onto the scene in the early 90’s. After huge success in under 10 years, the band inexplicably imploded. Fans of the band will be able to relive the FACEplant magic at a gig at The Cambridge Hotel on May 14.

So get ready to sing along to tracks from the band’s 1995 EP, Upper Case Face produced by Screaming Jets founder Grant Walmsley, including their breakthrough single, Rose Coloured Glasses which spent almost 3 weeks at the number 1 spot on NEWFM’s Hot 30 countdown.

A short time ago, the members of the band crossed paths again, and went into the rehearsal room to ‘see what would happen’.

The band did record a follow up to the EP at Troy Horse studios but the sessions never saw the light of day. We’re hoping we get to hear a few of these tracks on May 14.
