The Newcastle Comedy Festival is back this May for four weeks of laughter delivered by comedians heading to the city from all over Australia.
Promising one of the biggest and most diverse comedy line-ups yet, the event will kick off with a star-studded Gala featuring the best of the best from the Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals.
With a program of 70 shows packed with stand-up, improv and sketch comedy, there’s sure to be a show that will tickle every funny bone.
Australian comedian, writer, actor, television and radio presenter, Tommy Little will bring his signature high-energy comedy and enthusiasm to the Gala stage alongside a host of other headline-worthy comics.
Direct from his latest Paramount+ TV special, Ivan Aristeguieta will also hit the stage for the Gala Since his last visit to town, Ivan has added another passport to his citizenship collection on his way to becoming one of the brightest stars of Aussie comedy.
One of only a handful of Aussies to be invited to perform stand-up on the US television network, Comedy Central, Nick Cody will also bring his unique brand for comedy to town for the gala alongside AusComedy royals Chris Ryan, Nick Capper, Julia Wilson, Paige Hally and Andrew Hansen.
And talking about royalty, our very own Timberlina will deliver a set for the festival Gala that’s bound to be one you won’t want to miss. .
