NEWCASTLE COMEDY FESTIVAL: New info on lineups & tickets for 2020 event

Novocastrians will have the opportunity to laugh long and hard next month when the 2020 Newcastle Comedy Festival rolls into town.

Initially scheduled for May, the reformatted Newcastle Comedy Festival will now take place between 19 and 29 November and laugh seekers will have four opportunities to see the festival’s Gala event.

COVID SAFE COMEDY

The Civic Theatre can now host up to 750 people (50 percent of its capacity) under strict COVID-compliant conditions. Gala shows will be staged at 3pm and 8pm on both Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, with the theatre undergoing a deep cleanse after each performance, ready for the next audience.

TICKETS

If you have previously purchased a ticket for either Comedy Festival Gala, you will be contacted and given their choice of which line-up and which time they’d like to attend.

If you need to purchase a ticket, there are still some great seats available. Click on the button below to find out more.

THE LINEUP

Due to the closing of state borders, the line-ups for each gala have had to be adjusted. Each performance will feature ten comedians and a superstar MC!

The Saturday shows, on 21 November, will be hosted by all-round funnyman, Rove McManus and the always hilarious Becky Lucas, The Block‘s Andy Saunders and our favourite purple puppet, Randy Feltface will now feature in all four gala shows.
