The Australian Men’s Shed initiative is focused on preventing social isolation and improving physical and mental health but during COVID this was severely hampered. The Men’s Shed program grew out of the Hunter in 2013 and continues to be headquartered here.
NSW Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes (who Tracy Mac decided to call Patron Saint instead of Patron Senator!) joined us to discuss an additional $500,000 of grant funding available to the Men’s Shed organisation to assist with access to IT equipment and to provide the accompanying training to their Men’s shed members.
Tracy and Senator Hughes also discussed the issues surrounding Labor at the moment and the PM’s focus on the Hunter.
