Mulletfest is now accepting online entries for its 2023 competition.

Throughout the entire month of October mullet enthusiasts from around the world will be uploading pictures of their luscious locks in an effort to score themselves a spot in this year’s grand final at the Chelmsford Hotel in Kurri Kurri later this year.

Whether you’re rocking a traditional mullet or a modern twist, this is your chance to shine – no matter where you live.

It’s not all about style though – it’s also about giving back. Mulletfest continues its tradition of raising funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation, a cause dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals diagnosed with Brain Cancer.

Mulletfest’s journey began over a casual beer at the Chelmsford Hotel, born from a desire to bring some clean family fun and boost tourism to a town facing challenges after losing a major generational employer.

What started as a local event quickly evolved into an international sensation, attracting participants and media attention from across the globe.

Juniors aged 0-3 years, 4-7 years, 8-13 years, and 14-18 years have their own categories to showcase their youthful mullet charm. Families can also join the fun as a collective with the “Family Mullets” category. Redheads, affectionately known as “Ranga,” get their own category to flaunt their fiery locks, while those over 50 can participate in the “Vintage” category.

For those new to the mullet game, the “Rookie” category is perfect for anyone growing their mullet for two years or less. If you’ve got an exceptionally wild and unruly mullet, “Grubby” and “Extreme” categories are there to celebrate your boldness. And for those who rock the mullet as part of their everyday style, the “Everyday” category is just right.

So what are you waiting for? Don’t miss your chance to enter Mulletfest 2023’s online heat. Visit mulletfest.com.au to find out more.
