Beloved Australian folk duo Pierce Brothers are set to headline a special Newcastle show as part of their 2026 Australian tour, following the release of their fourth studio album Moonrise, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA charts.
Fans can expect an intimate, high-energy performance showcasing the duo’s signature mix of indie folk, blues and roots.
The Newcastle show comes after Pierce Brothers tour the UK and Europe in January and February, and precedes performances at iconic Australian festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Groovin The Moo and Bluesfest Byron Bay.
Since their breakout EP The Night Tree in 2014, Jack and Patrick Pierce have built a reputation for electrifying live shows, captivating storytelling, and a potent blend of folk, indie, and rock influences.
Their 2025 album Everything Is Bigger Than Me also debuted at #1, cementing the brothers as a commanding force on the Australian music scene.
The newly released Moonrise features 12 tracks of open-vein storytelling, self-produced by the brothers alongside long-time collaborator Phil Threlfall.
Rolling Stone Australia described the album as “a record that captures chaos, change, and a surprising amount of catharsis,” and the Pierce Brothers have been experimenting with new instruments and stage elements to bring the material to life in 2026.
In addition to chart-topping success at home, Pierce Brothers have expanded internationally, signing with AIM Booking Agency in Canada and taking their music to audiences across the UK, North America, South Africa and Europe. Their 2026 tour promises to blend new album material with crowd favourites for a showcase of the duo’s 12-year career.
Pierce Brothers play King Street Warehouse, Newcastle on Thursday, 12 March 2026. Tickets are on sale now via piercebrothers.com. Pre-sale tickets are now available via the Pierce Brothers mailing list.
