BURGER BARGAIN: McDonald’s slashes the price of Big Macs to 50 cents and we’re lovin’ it!

It’s the global fast food chain that has been serving up two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onlions on a sesame seed bun in Oz since 1971.

And to celebrate 50 years in Oz, McDonald’s is pushing the boat out with three months of deals, with the first cab off the rank being the ubiquitous Big Mac which you can grab this week for a measly 50 cents.

Yep you heard right. Fifty Cents!

The iconic burger, often held up as a symbol of US capitalism, would normally set you back more than six bucks, making this an absolute bargain.

This Big Mac bonanza will be available nationwide on Friday 18 June and the only catch is that you’ll need to place the order via the MyMacca’s app. and you can finally live out your dreams of being the Hamburglar for realsies!

“We are extremely proud to be celebrating 50 years of providing great tasting food and supporting our customers, people, and communities in Australia,” McDonald’s Australia CEO Andrew Gregory said.

“We are firm believers in the quality and taste of Australian homegrown produce and have always been and remain committed to our local suppliers and supporting more than 15,000 Aussie farmers annually.”

Macca’s first opened in Oz back in 1971 and now has 1009 locations across the country. In that time, they have reportedly sold more than 1.1 BILLION Big Macs to Australian customers.
