Mayfield Day will return to Dangar Park in October, bringing five hours of free entertainment, food and family activities to the heart of the suburb.
Now in its fifth year, Mayfield Day is a free community celebration presented by the Mayfield Business Improvement Association in partnership with the City of Newcastle.
The event will showcase the people, businesses and cultures that give Mayfield its distinctive character.
Live music and cultural performances will feature throughout the day, alongside interactive workshops and showcases involving local businesses and schools. Market stalls will also give visitors an opportunity to discover local makers and support stallholders from Mayfield and beyond.

Younger visitors can get hands-on during a sensory play workshop presented by Wonder and Wild, while free face painting and a range of creative activities will help keep little imaginations busy.
For hungry locals, there’ll be an array of food trucks and stalls serving up everything from Korean dumplings and Turkish gozleme to burgers, loaded fries, smoked meats, barbecue skewers and cob loaves, with ice cream, coffee, snow cones, cinnamon doughnuts and other treats.
Mayfield Day will take over Dangar Park, Mayfield, from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, 24 October 2026. Entry is free. You can find out more by clicking here.
