The Newcastle Knights announced their annual award winners from the Sunshine Coast recently. And one of the most prestigious Awards, Club Person of the Year was shared between Matt Morriss (the Club’s Welfare and Education co-ordinator) and Jane Farrell (Store Manager)
In this challenging year, Matt Morriss has had the very difficult job of trying to keep the Knight’s mental health in order in the middle of a pandemic.
While in Queensland in lockdown with a group of footballers Matt has been a been ballboy, he’s suffered a torn hamstring and driven Jake Clifford 1300km from Brisbane to Rockhampton. He dropped into Newcastle Live Radio to chat about it.
