This spring, Maitland City Council’s much-loved Street Eats program is making a comeback, bringing an array of food trucks and family-friendly activities to parks and playgrounds across the city.
Kicking off in September, the series will feature four unique events, each boasting a playful theme and an impressive lineup of both original and new food vendors.
The program will host pop-up events in Aberglasslyn, Thornton, Louth Park, and Lochinvar.
This year Street Eats will also be trialling a pop-up bar at select locations, offering a variety of local craft beers and wines.
This feature aims to enhance the culinary experience, allowing attendees to pair their meals with some of the region’s finest beverages.
The whole thing will begin with a Spring Feast at Golden Whistler Park in Aberglasslyn on 6 September, where visitors are encouraged to don their spring attire and enjoy a vibrant evening of food and festivities.
The themed events continue with a ‘90s Nostalgia night at Wirraway Park in Thornton on 27 September and a Monster Munch Halloween special at Hillview Playground in Louth Park on 18 October. A Wild West Roundup night will wrap up the series at Hereford Hill Park in Lochinvar on 15 November.
