It’s all ready, set, go for the 2025 Maitland Running Festival this June.
This year the picturesque course will once again take over the state-of-the-art Maitland Regional Athletics Centre with runners making a lap around the track before they head to a number of landmarks around Maitland.
Participants can choose from a variety of distances to match their skill level and ambitions, including 4km, 8km, 12km, and the Mutual Bank Half Marathon.
The well-marked route will lead runners through Maitland’s charming streets and scenic riverbanks. Each route is carefully designed to showcase the natural beauty of Maitland, with highlights including views of the Hunter River and landmarks like the historic Belmore Bridge.
The event welcomes participants of all ages, with specific categories tailored to children and adults. Children as young as six can take part in the 4km race, while older and more experienced runners have the opportunity to tackle longer distances.
Families with young children are encouraged to bring strollers, ensuring an inclusive atmosphere for all attendees. Finishers in every race will receive medals to commemorate their achievement, celebrating the community spirit and camaraderie that the festival fosters.
The 2025 Maitland Running Festival is happening on Sunday, 1 June. For more information visit maitlandriverrun.net.
