Are you a Maitland resident and reckon you have the most photogenic pet on the block? Well Maitland Library wants to hear from you.
The front wall of the library has been for many years curated with an array of Walls That Talk exhibitions and the next one will have a decidedly feathered, furred and even finned bent!
With pets playing a massively important role in our lives, especially now, the Gallery is looking for nine local pets to be featured in the temporary exhibition.
“Our pets play an important role in our lives and are definitely benefitting from the current stay at home public health orders,” Maitland Council’s senior place activation officer Portia Wendt said.
“I’ve seen many more people out and about walking or just simply spending more time with their pets over the last six weeks.
“We are looking for nine pets that live in Maitland that we can share with the community through this exhibition and hopefully bring a smile to people’s faces. We want to see pets big and small and from domestic dogs and cats to rural chickens, cows and horses.”
Submissions are open now until Friday 15 May. Head here for more info and to make a submission.
