Last Sunday, a group of local musicians headed to an impromptu studio in Tighes Hill to record a version of the John Lennon classic, Happy Christmas (war is over). The collective hopes to raise awareness and funds for the โ€œVulnerable Children Fundโ€ charity by releasing the song and a video they recorded on the day. Newcastle Live headed to the studio to capture all the action.

The producer of the recording and the man behind the project, local muso Tim Hickey, enlisted a large collective of talented local musos and producers, who all donated their time to help his vision become a reality.

With talent and harmony for days, the group set to work on recording a dead set blistering version of the Christmas song.
