Gina Chick to headline 2024 Living Smart Festival

Lake Macquarie’s much-loved Living Smart Festival will return in September. A dynamic trio of sustainability champions will headline the event including the winner of the first season of Alone Australia, Gina Chick.

Known for her remarkable 67-day solo survival stint in the Tasmanian wilderness, Gina will share insights from her experience on the show and offer festival-goers a unique perspective on her connection with nature and the profound benefits of wilderness immersion.

One of Australia’s largest sustainability events, the Living Smart Festival aims to inspire attendees to adopt sustainable living habits.

Gina will join ‘Frugal Foodie’ Steph de Sousa and River Cottage Australia host Paul West, to promote the festival’s core message of everyday sustainability.

This year’s festival promises a packed schedule with various workshops, stalls, and presentations focusing on sustainability topics.

In addition to this year’s headline speakers, the Living Smart Festival will feature a multicultural zone to showcase global practices, traditions, music, dance, and cooking, providing a rich cultural experience and highlighting the universal importance of sustainability.

The 2024 Living Smart Festival will take over Speers Point Park on Saturday 21 September from 9am to 3pm. For more information visit lakemac.com.au.
