Central Coast trio, Little Quirks are back from their Bluesfest performance with an electrifying new track called Reverie.
Released today via ABC Music, the song is a pulsating journey through the complexities of love and longing.
Recorded and produced by Nick DiDia and mixed by Konstantin Kersting, the single boasts a driving beat that crescendos into a soaring chorus, reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac or the captivating soundtracks of TV series like Daisy Jones & The Six.
“Reverie is based on a short-lived, long-distance relationship,” Abbey Toole said.
“The feeling where you meet someone, fall in love really fast and you feel immersed in a pleasant sate of daydream. As the song progresses, the daydreams take a darker turn.
The couple don’t see each other so much, maybe they didn’t know each other the way they thought they did, but they keep going back to what they had in that moment together.”
The release of the single comes on the back of the band picking up a swag of new fans at this year’s Bluefest in Byron Bay and ahead of their support slot on the Pierce Brothers tour.
You can catch Little Quirks open for Pierce Brothers when they hit King Street in Newcastle on Friday, 3 May. Visit littlequirksband.com for more info.
