One of the Hunter’s most loved festivals, A Little Bit of Broke, will once again take over the valley in May.
This year marks the 18th edition of the beloved festival weekend, which has been reimagined with an all-new format. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the hidden gems of the wine trail and immerse yourself in the delectable wine, food, and all-around fabulousness that the Broke Fordwich region is known for.
The Festival Program includes a range of Special Events, Workshops and over 30 bookable events and experiences. The event will give you the chance to take part in sunrise yoga, sip sunset wines while listening to live music, dine in a hatted restaurant, picnic with an alpaca, learn the art of beekeeping and you can even indulge in a foot scrub which is perfect after a day making your way around the festival.
And it’s quite a program.
One of the best ways to make the most out of the event is to grab your wine-loving gang a Festival Kit which includes your festival entry, a keepsake tasting glass, and tasting coupons.
From there, you can add on dining, experiences, events, workshops, extra tastings, and even transport, all bookable online to make planning your weekend a breeze.
A Festival Starter Kit starts at $30. You’ll get your festival entry, a take-home Zafferano glass, a festival map, and a minimum of four tasting experiences that give you a complimentary tasting at your chosen wineries.
You can upgrade the kit from there to give you a complimentary tasting at each of the eight cellar doors taking part in the festival weekend.
The popular hop on hop off bus service is back too, so if you’re keen to leave the car at home and grab some accommodation, you can enjoy the festival’s daily shuttle service with regular buses circulating both Broke Road and Milbrodale Road, stopping at each location in the festival program.
A Little Bit of Broke is happening over the weekend of Friday 5 to Sunday 7 May 2023. Event info and tickets can be found at brokefordwich.com.au.
