Let’s Fish Lake Mac is back for its third year, spanning over two days on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November 2022.
Held on the largest coastal saltwater lake in Australia, the rules for the annual catch-and-release style competition are simple… Choose when on the weekend you, your mates or the family can get together to fish, then take to the lake and enjoy the fun!
And with $32,000 in prizes up for grabs, thanks to Lake Macquarie City Council, Berkley, ABU Garcia, Lowrance and Mako Eyewear, it’ll be game on around the lake!
Entrants can fish for bream, flathead, tailor and whiting across any of the tidal waters and public beaches of the Lake Macquarie local government area.
There are prizes on offer for the biggest fish caught (and released) for both kids and grown-ups and prize packs for fish closest to the mystery length.

The Let’s Fish Lake Mac comp is held right across the Lake. You can fish from the shore or from your boat. And even if you don’t catch a fish all entries go into the entrant’s prize draw!
