More than 1,500 guests are rumoured to be on the waitlist for the 2023 edition of Le Diner En Blanc, one of Newcastle Food Month’s flagship events.
The 2022 event saw almost 1200 take part in the Parisian-style pop-up dinner at Foreshore Park – All dressed in white, feasting on food and wine, and dancing under the stars.
Le Diner En Blanc is just one of the many events planned for Newcastle Food Month 2023 with All the big names of the city’s dining scene getting involved.
Roundhouse at Crystalbrook Kingsley, The Flotilla, Harrisons and The Signal Box, have designed their own unique events that will feature in the month-long program.
“It has been our long-time dream to make Newcastle Food Month the leading regional food event in the country, and itโs with much excitement that we announce this, our third Food Month, putting us well on our way to realising that dream.” event organiser, Louise Maher said.
“Over the past two years we have enticed thousands of Novocastrians to dine out in our fabulous restaurants, and this will continue. We are committed to expanding our marketing and promotion into the Central Coast and Sydney to draw an increasing number of overnight visitors. In years to come, we will turn our attention to the likes of Melbourne and Brisbane, to take advantage of our connections through Newcastle airport.”
Plate Date will also return as part of Newcastle Food Month 2023 and see over 40 dining establishments offering brunch, lunch or dinner, including a beverage for only $25.
‘Itโs exciting to see so many early entries into the program, and we are well ahead of where we have been in previous years in planning. There is already something for everyone who likes eating out, and on any budget,” Louise said.
Newcastle Food Month will return in April 2023 with events being held across the city. To sign-up up for the waiting list for Newcastle’s Le Diner En Blanc and find out more about the event visit newcastlefoodmonth.com.au.
