Fun in the sun looks to be the order of the summer in Lake Macquarie with a raft of activities guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained as the weather warms up.
Lake Macquarie City Council, this week, released its bumper Lake Mac Summer Holiday Guide, which is fit to burst with everything from disc golf ‘come and try’ days and rockpool explorations, to art exhibitions and sandcastle building competitions!
In fact, the hefty guide features 50 exciting activities taking place right across the city, meaning even the most barnacled-on couch potato has no excuse to flip Netflix off and get out and about.
“From film nights and art activities to dog training sessions and stand-up paddleboarding, our Summer Activity Guide is a great way for kids to stay entertained over the summer,” Lake Macquarie Mayor Kay Fraser said.
“Whether you’re a working parent in need of all-day activities or a family looking for something different to try – we have your summer holidays sorted.”
The event program officially kicks off on Monday 4 January and runs through to Friday 22 January, with an activity scheduled almost every day!
Featuring a mix of free and ticketed events, in order to maintain COVID-safe practices, bookings for all events is essential.
