SLEIGH-IN’ IT: Lake Mac Carols to take over Speers Point Park this December

Lake Mac Carols will once again bring Christmas cheer to Speers Point Park this December.

As always, the much-loved event will feature a spectacular evening of festive entertainment to help you count down to the night the big man in the red suit arrives.

Kicking off at 3:00 pm with kids’ activities, roving entertainment and food trucks serving up dinner and snack options alongside a jam-packed main stage program from 5 pm.

And, of course, the night would not be complete without a visit from the man himself! So get set for Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves when they make a very special Lake Mac Carols appearance during the night.

Carolers are encouraged to wear their best, or most cringe-worthy, Christmas outfits and drop by the Xmas Photo Booth or take a selfie under with our Christmas-themed arbour.

Printed copies of the Lake Mac Carols songbook for the night will be available at the information tent and handed out by council staff throughout the evening. But you’ll also be able to download it on your phone from the event website prior to the event.

While there’ll be heaps of food options available, families are also welcome to bring their own picnics and fold-up camp chairs, however, the very front sections in front of the stage will be for picnic rugs and low-lying chairs only.

Cameron Park Rural Fire Service will also be selling battery-operated candles for $5.

Lake Mac Carols is a free event brought to you by Lake Macquarie City Council. It will take over Speers Point Park on Sunday, 11 December from 3:00 pm. Visit lakemac.com.au/Events-directory/ to find out more.
