With news this week that Newcastle Airport has resumed direct flights to the land of the long white cloud we couldn’t be more excited, bro. Here are 10 totally choice things you can do on your next trip to NZ.

2 – Visit Fakehenge
Keen to see Stonehenge but flights to the UK are too expensive? We got you, bro. The New Zealand region of Wairarapa boasts a full-scale adaptation of Stonehenge which makes for a very quirky holiday snap.
3 – Smell The beauty!
Sure, the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is possibly one of the most beautiful locations in NZ… It’s so beautiful, you can smell it!
4 – Get the ultimate Insta shot
Strap on your (provided) rain jacket and waterproof pants and get out onto one of the world’s most instaworthy glaciers. The Fox Glacier is advertised as one of the easiest and quickest glacier walks you can do.

You know how they say Guiness tastes better in Ireland, well the same can be said for L&P. Leave the airport and go directly to a supermarket and grab a slab to go in the chilly bin… And while you’re at it, do yourself a favour, and get some pineapple lumps. Don’t forget to don your jandles.

8 – Visit Wanaka World
Advertised as a “mystifying funhouse”, Stuart Landsborough’s Puzzling World in Wanaka is, without doubt, one of the strangest “theme parks” we’ve ever come across and has found its way onto our NZ holiday itinerary.
9 – Get inked

10 – Hang your bra off a fence!
Apparently, the tradition was started just before the new millennium when a couple of bras popped up (or off?) and appeared overnight on a fence along the Cardrona Valley Road. Now it’s a tourist attraction and a perfect addition to this list.
