When the clip for Kate Ceberano’s hit Bedroom Eyes first premiered on ABC TV’s Rage one Saturday morning in 1989, many of us fell in love immediately. Well, you’ll get the chance to relive all those feels when Kate takes to the stage in Newcastle on 16 March 2019 as part of the group of headliners for the Live At The Foreshore festival.
Here are 5 reasons why we’re super pumped for Kate’s set!
I’M TALKING
Earlier this month, Kate confirmed that she will reunite with Iโm Talking! So we’re looking forward to hearing some materialย from that part of Kate’s career.
A POSSIBLE DUET WITH WENDY MATTHEWS
In 1988 Kate collaborated with Wendy Matthews on the album You’ve Always Got The Blues. They recorded the album in just 48 hours which is a testament to the chemistry the two singers have together. A chemistry we’re predicting we’ll get to see at some point during the 2019 Live At The Foreshore festival.
BEDROOM EYES
There’s no doubt about it, as we said above, many people fell in love with Kate the moment they heard this song. There’s something about the slow rock of the chorus that’s quite hypnotic. We can’t wait to be entranced when she plays this one on the foreshore.
EVERYTHING’S ALRIGHT
Kate wowed everyone back in 1992 when she took on the role of Mary Magdalene in the Australian concert production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Sheย absolutely nails one of the musical’s most loved songs, Everything’s Alright, and we’re hoping she’ll slot it into her set.
PASH
If there’s a song that gets you in the mood to dance like no one’s watching it’s Kate’sย 1997 hit, Pash. We can’t wait to dance along with the rest of Newcastle on theย 16 March 2019!
