Australian prog-rock giants Karnivool’s Ad Complementum tour is coming to Newcastle this winter, locking in a high-energy set at Bar on the Hill.

It’s one of just 13 dates on a national run that promises new music, reimagined favourites, and a glimpse at what’s next for the Perth five-piece.

The band has spent the past five months holed up in a Perth studio, crafting new material behind closed doors. Now, they’re ready to road-test those songs live, with this tour marking the first time audiences will hear what’s been stewing in the studio.

Karnivool fans in Newcastle will be among the first in the country—and the world—to experience the band’s next chapter.

Known for their genre-defying sound and explosive live shows, Karnivool are promising a set that balances fresh material with fan favourites.

Long-time listeners can expect the familiar hits twisted into new forms, as the group hints at a creative evolution that’s only just beginning to surface.

Bar on the Hill will provide the perfect setting for Karnivool’s sonic assault, with its reputation for intimate yet high-impact shows. It’s a rare opportunity to catch one of Australia’s most critically acclaimed rock acts in a setting this up-close and personal.

Presale tickets go live Friday 23 May at 10am AEST, with general sale opening Monday 26 May at the same time. Given the band’s loyal following and the buzz around new material, fans are encouraged to get in early.

Karnivool’s Ad Complementum tour lands in Newcastle at the Bar on the Hill on Wednesday, 24 July 2025. Tickets are available via karnivool.com.
