After calling for a review of nuclear energy options earlier this year, Joel Fitzgibbon MP has supported the $600 million in Federal funding for a gas-fired power station in Kurri; saying it proves once again the diversity of the Hunter region.
While speaking with Tracy Mac, he acknowledges the opposition this development may attract but believes the price of our electricity, job security for industry and the security of our power grid is of paramount importance.
