The Harlem Globetrotters are heading to Newcastle, bringing their landmark 100 Year Tour to the Newcastle Entertainment Centre for an afternoon of high-flying basketball, comedy and family fun.

Celebrating a century since the team was founded in 1926, the world-famous entertainers are hitting the road with what promises to be their biggest and most interactive tour yet.

The milestone event honours 100 years of spectacular trick shots, gravity-defying dunks and the unique blend of sport and showmanship that has captivated audiences across generations.

Fans can expect much more than a basketball game, with the tour featuring an immersive experience from start to finish.

Pre-game entertainment, post-game opportunities to meet the players and brand-new additions, including the Golden Basketball by Spalding, are all part of the celebration.

The action on the court will once again see the Harlem Globetrotters face off against their long-time rivals, the Washington Generals, in a family-friendly contest packed with incredible athleticism, comedy and crowd interaction.

Every performance is designed to keep fans of all ages entertained, whether they’re lifelong supporters or seeing the Globetrotters for the first time.

Founded by Abe Saperstein, the Harlem Globetrotters have become one of the world’s most recognisable sporting teams, using basketball as a platform to entertain millions across the globe.

Their centenary tour celebrates that remarkable legacy while inviting a new generation of fans to be part of the next chapter.

The Harlem Globetrotters 100 Year Tour comes to Newcastle Entertainment Centre in Broadmeadow on Sunday, 5 July 2026, with tip-off at 2pm. Tickets are on sale now through ticketek.com.au.
