Monty Franklin is bringing his brand-new comedy show, Is That Your Mate?, to Newcastle Comedy Club in November.
The appearance forms part of a national tour across November and December, following his sold-out Yeah Nah run through Australia, the U.S., and Europe.
Now based in Los Angeles, Franklin has become a global comedy name thanks to his sharp takes on life as an Aussie abroad, with more than one billion views across social media platforms.
His new show promises more of the same cheeky, relatable humour that has resonated with audiences around the world.
Beyond stand-up, Franklin has turned his creative hand to film. His debut feature, The Great Emu War, has been co-written with Rob Schneider and John Cleese, and will also star Jim Jefferies and Rhys Darby.
His career to date has seen him perform at major clubs worldwide, sharing stages with the likes of Schneider, Joe Rogan and Jim Breuer.
On screen, he’s popped up in Netflix’s Real Rob, FOX’s New Girl, and HULU’s Becoming Bond, steadily building his profile across both comedy and television.
Franklin also made history in Hollywood, becoming the first Australian comedian to have his name added to the iconic wall at The Comedy Store. He remains a regular at The Improv and The Laugh Factory, cementing his reputation on the international circuit.
Monty Franklin’s Is That Your Mate? hits Newcastle Comedy Club on Sunday 16 November. Tickets are on sale now via montyfranklin.com.
