Young Novocastrian performer, Kirra Pryor will open for X Factor’s Cyrus this Sunday, 7 August after taking our the event’s talent quest. We caught up with Kirra for a quick chat earlier today…

Run to make a difference to Aussie kids in need throughout regional centers around Australia.

Run Australia guaranteeโ€™s that 100% of every registration fee will go straight to the local cause in your community. Thatโ€™s right, 100%! We facilitate an event like no other, full of festival fun, where people can run, walk or roll the streets of their local community, while raising much needed funds for a local childrenโ€™s health-related project in your town.

Run Australia is an initiative by the Cotton On Group and is working towards improving the healthcare of young people in regional Australia.
Run Australia National Ambassador Carrie Bickmore will attend the event alongside Run Newcastle Ambassadors Tegan Martin, Tim Robards and 6 year old twins, Alfie and Boaz Bonar.

ABOUT KIRRA


Kirra Pryor is 16 years of age with dancing Classical Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary since the age of 3, modelling and acting experience since the age of 5, and singing since 8 years of age.

Kirra has appeared on television shows with Comedy Ink (Crackerjack Productions), the Sunday Night program and with ongoing work as an extra on Home & Away (Channel 7). Commercials include Fetch TV, Mitsubishi, Metropolitan Water for Life, Best & Less. Print work includes David Jones, Rebel Sport, Thatโ€™s Life, Big W, Best & Less, Wentworth Courier, Gumboots clothing and Sunday Life.

Singing and dance is Kirraโ€™s most loved passion. Kirra has performed as a singing soloist at various local festivals, Mattara, Newcastle Show, Speers Point Carols and Wallsend Winter Fair. Kirra has also had the opportunity to be a featured artist in the Hunter Central Coast Starstuck production in 2012, 2013, 2014 and for the Lake Macquarie International Childrens Games 2014.

Kirra has ten years of dance experience achieving good results throughout in Eisteddfods and RAD exams Classical Ballet. Kirra has opened her own dance school in the Newcastle area, Encore Dance, teaching both Classical Ballet and Jazz. Due to her level of dance, Kirra has been given the opportunity to complete her HSC for dance early at High School in year 10.

With these experiences, when combining her dance and singing into performances both her confidence and maturity is shown throughout.
