REBEL YELL ROAD TRIP: Iconic rocker Billy Idol to snarl in Sydney

Looking for a rock and roll road trip?

Well, thankfully your prayers have been answered because the legendary rocker Billy idol is making his way to Sydney.

The shows will be Billy’s first in Oz since his 2015 tour which saw him melt many a face at Bimbadgen along with fellow rockers Cheap Trick.

This time around, Billy will bring his full band including his longtime collaborator and legendary axeman Steve Stevens and is sure to rip through his litany of hits including Rebel Yell, Dancing With Myself, White Wedding and Flesh For Fantasy.

Joining Billy for the tour is Melbourne rockers The Delta Riggs and this stomping four-piece are no strangers to Aussie rock fans, with their latest single Reality.

Sydney-based punks The Kids will open proceedings.

Billy Idol first took his moniker back in 1976 as part of seminal London band Generation X. Years of in-your-face attitude and fire are all across hits including To Be A Lover, Mony Mony, Sweet Sixteen, Cradle Of Love, Hot In The City, Save Me Now – songs that instantly catapulted Idol on a meteoric rise to stardom.

Catch Billy idol at the Hordern Pavillion on Saturday 1 February. Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday 16 August.
