A local sign manufacturer is certainly doing its bit to help out small business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thornton-based Hunter Signs has announced that for as long as is necessary they will be giving out free social distancing floor decal stickers in an effort to help out local businesses while also helping to stop the pandemic in its tracks.

The floor decals feature feet outlines indicating where customers should stand to adehere to the 1.5 meter distancing guidelines and Barney Wellings from Hunter Signs told Newcastle Live that staff just wanted to do their bit to help local business.

“A lot of businesses are doing it tough at the moment so we thorugh this would be a good way to help out,” he said.

“Itโ€™s a great way to keep our team busy while doing our part for the Newcastle business community”

Barney added that reaction the decals which will be available for ‘as long as people want them’ had been overwhelmingly positive.

“It’s been pretty massive,” he said. “We started off printing around 30 and I think we’ve given about 500 away.”
