In the centre of coal mining in the region, the Hunter Jobs Alliance and Hunter Renewal launched a report revealing the priorities of people across the Hunter for State Government spending and local control of programs to prepare for changing coal markets.
The report is the result of a series of workshops and online surveys canvassing the views of people across the Hunter region from all walks of life and reveals deep and wide awareness of the challenge of coal’s uncertain future, and readiness to participate in planning for the region’s future.
