The first episode of a three-part docuseries that delves into the mind of Daniel Johns will be available to stream from 6 pm tonight.

Inside the Mind of Daniel Johns will stream exclusively on Daniel’s YouTube and features an interview of Johns talking to American radio personality Megan Holiday.

โ€œItโ€™s the deepest Iโ€™ve ever gone, I talk about everything,โ€ Daniel said.

The premier of the series comes on the back of the news that an exhibition dedicated to Daniel Johns will open at Rialto in Melbourne this Friday, 26 August.

Curated by Eddie Zammit, the Past, Present and FutureNever exhibition was produced over the last 12 months and promises to take visitors back in time over a multi-level show that includes a comprehensive collection of original antiquities from Danielโ€™s childhood including original Frogstomp lyric sheets he wrote when he was just 14 years old.

“For 45 minutes, people can physically time travel back to my childhood and into the FutureNever in a way that provides a greater insight into my creative process and personal life than any live concert could ever hope to achieve,” Daniel said.

“Itโ€™s literally a lifetime of work that has gone into it and Iโ€™m more proud of it than anything Iโ€™ve ever done.”

Daniel also used the announcement of the series and exhibition to thank his supporters.

“I wanted to first say a huge thank you to everyone for the infinite love and support while Iโ€™ve been gone.

“The gratitude I feel cannot be expressed. Iโ€™ve been working so hard on my health (physical, emotional and mental) and Iโ€™m on a journey to recoveryโ€”Iโ€™m feeling so much better.โ€

You can watch the first episode of the three-part series, called Reclaim Your Art, on the Daniel Johns Youtube channel from 6 pm on Monday 22 August. Visit radiovelvet.com to find out more about the Past, Present & FutureNever exhibition.
