So, the world’s favourite feel-good musical Mamma Mia is coming to Newcastle and YOU now have the chance to see it for free!
Yep, that’s right, this Sunday The Very Popular Theatre Company, who are staging the production, will be at Wheeler Place (just outside the Civic Theatre) giving out 700 – yes, SEVEN HUNDRED tickets to opening night on Friday 25 October!
The ticket giveaway bonanza will also feature a special pop-up Mamma Mia concert and revellers are encouraged to rock up in their best ABBA garb!
So now is definitely the time to decide if you’re a Benny, Bjorn, Frida or Agnetha and get cracking on an amazing costume!
Tickets will be given away from 11am.

A Greek Island…a girl searching for her father… flares, frills, fluro, wedge-heeled boots…featuring hit after hit from the incredible songs of ABBA including Dancing Queen, Voulez Vous, S.O.S, Take a Chance On Me and The Winner Takes It All, Mamma Mia tells the hilarious story of a young woman’s search, on the eve of her wedding, to discover the identity of her father.
With this brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.
