Rick Price will return to Newcastle this November for a live and intermate performance at Thirsty Messaih Brewery to celebrate the release of his 12th studio album, Hometown.
The Ausmusic legend will perform tracks from his new long player including You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down and Let It Go alongside his classic hits Heaven Knows, Not a Day Goes By, Walk Away Renee and River of Love.
It’s the first headline show the Broadmeadow Brewery will host on its new stage, confirming the venue’s commitment to live music alongside its award-winning food and beverage offering. And it’s quite the show to kick off with.
The ARIA Award artist has conquered the world since first stepping on stage in his family band in Queensland. He’s clocked up multiple gold and platinum-selling records, picked up the gong for APRA Song Of The Year and been recognised by Export Music Australia as one of the most important artists in Ausmusic history.
His new album, his first since 2015’s Tennessee Sky, is steeped in country, rhythm and blues which is a nod to his home in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to write and record music.
Whether he’s working with artists like Tina Arena, Tommy Emmanuel and Jack Jones or just sitting on stage with his guitar, Rick Price has continued to floor audiences with his amazing voice and soulful songs. And it’s why he continues to play in packed rooms all around the world which is why this show is a unique opportunity to see him perform in such an intimate setting.
Rick Price will play Thirsty Messiah Brewery in Broadmedow on Sunday, 24 November. Tickets are on sale now via trybooking.com.
