Hill To Harbour running event set to take over Newcastle

The City of Newcastle’s Hill to Harbour running event is gearing up for its 17th edition.

A highlight on the running calendar for both recreational joggers and seasoned athletes alike, the event is set to draw over 2000 participants to the start line.

“We are so excited to produce these events in Newcastle,” event organiser, Paul Humphreys said.

“There is a genuine desire in Newcastle for events that promote health, fitness and diversity, and we are glad to work with the local Council events team, support groups, charities and suppliers to present these events.”

One of the most anticipated aspects of the run is its scenic route, which showcases some of Newcastle’s most iconic landmarks.

From the picturesque Bar Beach to the historic Fort Scratchley, runners will traverse through King Edward Park, Newcastle Beach, Nobbys Beach, and beyond, soaking in the city’s rich heritage and natural beauty.

The event kicks off with the Hill to Harbour 12km followed by the ‘Halfa’ Hill to Harbour 6km and the Hunter Orthodontics 2K4FUN at 10:00 am.

The Hill to Harbour is happening on Sunday, 7 April. For registration and more information visit hilltoharbour.com.au.
