The masterminds behind beloved Newcastle band, sleepeaser have reunited as Headletter and are set to unleash their new sound with a single launch at The Hamilton Station Hotel in June.
Jake Hewish, the unstoppable creative force behind the band, has emerged from his newly built home studio with a bag of songs ready to deliver to Newcastle alt-rock fans.
And if the lead single is anything to go by, it’s going to be quite a body of work.
The debut single, Bad Idea uncompromisingly leans into the ’90s grunge and emo vibe with deep, layered tones and emotive lyrics.
Recorded in-house, with drums tracked by Rhys Zacher at Spinlight Studios, the track is set for release on 2 June ahead of the Hamilton Station Hotel gig.
Guitarist and founder of sleepeaser, Matthew March joins Jake in the new Headletter lineup alongside Jake’s high school mates Alex McWhirter on bass and Damo Edwards on drums.
