It’s the whiplash-inducing festival that has been sorely missed over the past couple of years due to drought, bushfires and COVID 19.
Well, good news heavy music fans because Thrashville is making a welcome return next month with the good folks over at Dashville HQ dropping the full lineup this week.
With super heavy Sydney two-piece Astrodeath, ’80s metal riff kings Battlesnake, frenetic punks Scabz and Newy melodic thrashers Pure Envy already announced, the 2021 iteration of Thrashville was already shaping up to be quite the doozy.
But an expanded lineup that includes (in this writer’s humble opinion) one of the best punk bands doing the rounds at the moment in Northern Beaches five-piece C.O.F.F.I.N, and local loud merchants Zombonimo is set to make this a fest to remember.
So, here’s a rundown on who you can expect to see on the day:
Astrodeath
Basil’s Kite
Battlesnake
Boudicca
C.O.F.F.I.N
Chop
Dark Order
HOON
No Quarter
PurEnvy
Ragdoll
Scabz
Whatever
Zombonimo
Despite a reduced capacity and a designated seating area, organisers are confident the
heavy music community will come out to support the artists and enjoy the event
responsibly.
“We’re all in this together, Dashville has been hosting events since August last year and it’s amazing how people are willing to work within the boundaries and adapt in order to get along and enjoy themselves,” organiser Matt Johnston said.
Thrashville is on at Dashville on Saturday 13 February. Head here for more information and tickets.
