NBN Television commenced broadcast on 4 March 1962. Today the first regional station in Australia will celebrate 60 years!
From day one NBN captured a place in the hearts of their audience and played an important and much-loved role in the community.
On Saturday 5 March, NBN Television will celebrate those years, with a special half-hour documentary focussing on the characters and the stories.
Gavin Morris and Natasha Beyersdorf will host the special broadcast and be joined by past personalities to share fun memories and take you behind the scenes of some of NBN’s classic moments.
NBN’s General Manager Jenny Webber joined Tracy Mac on Yesterday’s Newcastle in the Morning to talk about the significance of the celebration and how the move to new studios has gone.
