The Gum Ball will celebrate its 17th birthday this yearm and with the announcement of new lineup additions it’s gearing up to be a massive celebration.
The grandest of all the Dashville events, The Gum Ball is going all out in 2022 adding acts like Perth singer-songwriter Carla Geneve, Kim Salmon’s Smoked Salmon and WA high octane rock n roller, The Southern River Band to an already stacked lineup featuring Bad//Dreeem, Mia Dyson, Skunkhour and Horrorshow.
Other new additions include indigenous virtuoso composer William Barton, dark and brooding New York rockers Endless Boogie & Californian topographic meditators, Howlin Rain. Ben Salter is also back on the Dashville stage and Black Rock Band and Yabok will make their Gum Ball debuts.
There has been some local addition too. Johnston City returns, along with other local acts Turpentine Babycino and Autumn Hearts will hit the stage this year and it wouldn’t be The Gum Ball without the Dashville Progress Society in the mix.
In 2022, the festival also continues to connect community and culture, with distinct homage to the traditional owners of the land, the Wonnarua, featured through a one-off artwork by local Indigenous artist Debbie Becker.
