The Hunter Wetlands Centre is once again gearing up for its annual Easter Fun Day.
Promising a packed morning of activities, the event invites families from across Newcastle and the Hunter region to enjoy Easter-themed entertainment in a unique natural setting.
Kids can expect a visit from the Easter Bunny, plus plenty of hands-on fun including face painting, jumping castles, craft activities, and up-close reptile encounters.
“This is one of our most loved community events,” General Manager James Wilson said.
“Easter Fun Day is the one day a year we go all out for families. Our team of volunteers love seeing the joy on kidsโ faces and they work hard to put together a value-packed program.”
Parents wonโt be left out eitherโwith food options like a sausage sizzle, cafรฉ dining, or a DIY picnic, there’s something for everyone. And once you’re done, you can explore the wetlands’ scenic trails until 4:00pm.
The Centreโs 45-hectare site is internationally recognised for its ecological value, home to over 200 bird species annuallyโincluding the rare Regent Honeyeater.
The Hunter Wetlands Centre’s Easter Fun Day is happening on Saturday, 19 April from 9:30am to 1:00pm. Tickets are $25 per family online or $30 at the gate, with individual tickets at $9.50 and children under three free. Visit wetlands.org.au to find out more.
