Gas Free Hunter Alliance stands against Kurri Kurri plan

Gas Free Hunter Alliance represents 13 local groups that are opposed to the Kurri Kurri gas-peaking plant.

The Alliance say that building a government-owned gas power station, which will reportedly cost $600 million in Federal Government funding, in the middle of a climate crisis is the equivalent of asking the Australian public to jump onto a sinking ship without a safety raft.

Fiona Lee from the Alliance dropped into Newcastle Live Radio to speak with Tracy Mac.
