GALLERY: WILLIAM CRIGHTON AT THE STAG

Our photo gallery from The William Crighton show at The Stag Last Saturday night.

The venue was pack to the brim with music fans all keen to see William Crighton do his thing live and not a soul was left disappointed, Matt Johnston (Gumball /Dashville) said earlier in the night that William was Australia’s next big thing and we reckon he is damn right.

His unique deep soulful voice with a real Aussie tone, storytelling tunes and his air tight 5 piece band made for what was one of the sets of the year for us so far, the man is a lyrical magician!

The night was present by Dashville, with two of Dashville’s finest, Magpie Diaries and Bag Head opening the with cracker sets.

At 16 years old, on a balmy May Friday night way back in 1975. I rolled up to the Forestville Youth Centre (The Forrie Bop) tickets were a couple of dollars and the band on the night included the likes of Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Paul Matters and Phil Rudd, yes ‘ACDC’ all for $2.00, can you believe that.
