To celebrate the re-issue of the album, Get On Board, The Badloves have been performing around the country. Photographer Juan Mahony was at Lizotte’s to capture the local leg of the tour

Released in July 1993, The Badloves debut album Get On Board spent a massive 69 weeks in the charts, peaked at number five and went achieved double platinum sales; delivering four hit singles in, Lost, Memphis, I Remember and Green Limousine.

The music continues for The Badloves as, come mid-2021, the band will release a new track Midnight Sun – the anticipated follow-up to their well-received singles soulbrothertruckinsong and Tribal.

We’re genuinely floored by that even to the extent where its really humbling to see people come out to shows,” Michael said.

“We were bunkered down recording through the year last year so we’ve got an album coming out. We’re still finishing tracking and mixing of that. We’re about 90 per cent through the next single release so this year’s going to be pretty full-on,” frontman Michael Spiby told Newcastle Live.
