Chris Cheney (The Living End), Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon), Tim Rogers (You Am I) and Josh Pyke, backed by a 17-piece rock orchestra, flawlessly performed the iconic album in its entirety, from the opening notes of Back in the USSR to the soulful farewell of Good Night.

The audience was treated to an encore featuring beloved tracks like Two of Us, Across the Universe, Ballad of John and Yoko, I am the Walrus, and Revolution.

The undeniable highlight of the evening was the masterful guitar work of Chris Cheney during While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

His performance left the crowd in awe and added a new layer of depth to this timeless classic.

With a whopping 17 musicians gracing the stage, including 2 drummers, 2 backing guitarists, and a complement of strings and brass, the sound was nothing short of spectacular.

The show was a sell-out, and it was evident that both the singers and the band were in top-notch form, delivering a blistering performance that left the audience craving for more.

In a delightful moment, the encore began with Tim, Phil, Josh, and Chris taking a casual seat on stools at the front of the stage, creating an intimate connection with the audience.

Chris Cheney continued to shine on Helter Skelter, where his guitar prowess truly took centre stage.

The evening was filled with both musical excellence and lighthearted humour, as Josh Pyke’s playful comment about Chris Cheney’s performance had the entire crowd laughing, adding an extra layer of camaraderie to an already outstanding show.
