Newcastle Live were lucky enough to be at the launch of Mezz Bar at Wallsend Diggers last night, and we’ve got the photos you’ve been waiting to see.
Over two architecturally designed levels, the Mezz Bar gets full marks for first impressions. The expansive interior feels intimate with comfortable booths and atmospheric lighting, making it a great space for large groups or one on one encounters.
The food and drink we’re flowing thought the night, with the beer selection and the twice cooked pork scratchings being a real highlight for us.
We were treated to an early solo set from local, Jerome O’Conner who later took to the main stage with the night’s “house band” for some dance floor bump and grind. 2016 The Voice contestant, Kylie Jane, and Australia’s Got Talent finalist, Matt Mclaren were also part of the line up of acts to perform on the night.
The new in house PA is sounding great, and the stage lighting really showcased the action on stage without being overdone. It’s obvious that those in charge of the production fit out have a musical sensibility.
The party doesn’t stop with the launch though. Newcastle favourites, Love That Hat are on stage tonight (June 4), and Mark Wells is stepping in for a Sunday (June 5) solo session.
