Ian Moss and Troy Cassar-Daley had the Town Hall audience in the palms of their hands for the local leg of their Together Alone Tour last night.
Watching the duo switch between each other’s songbooks was a joy to behold with harmonies and guitar mastery for days.
Ian’s tales about Don Walker, his songwriter mate from Cold Chisel, and Troy’s stories from his indigenous heritage were also a real highlight.
Songs from Ian’s Matchbook release were featured heavily while Troy took from his extensive catalogue of award winners.
The set also featured a few Chisel classics, Bill Wither’s Ain’t No Sunshine and the old soul standard The Dark End of the Street. But it was perhaps Troy’s Shadows on the Hill that really stole the show.
